General rules:

  • The IAAF Competition Rules 2018-2019 apply;
  • All distances, implements, measurement etc. will follow the international standards for athletes U18 and are the same as those applied during the European Youth Championships U18;
  • Individual athletes can sign up for participation. The number of accepted athletes might be limited depending on the time schedule. If a selection is needed, the selection will be made by the Technical Delegate and the Competition Secretary;
  • Heats will be held at: 100m/200m/110mH/100mH. The numbers 1 will progress to the final and are supplemented to 8 with fastest losers
  • For all other track events, series will be based on performance; within the series the lanes are drawn randomly. Series will be scheduled with slower series first and faster ones last
  • In the triple jump disciplines the 9 or 11 m take-off boards are used for both boys and girls;
  • The final time schedule and list of accepted athletes is now available (May 24)
  • For all disciplines athletes must show up in the callroom at the times indicated on the timeschedule

Entry standards:

  • Participation in individual disciplines is possible for athletes U18 with a valid competition license;
  • When a discipline is oversubscribed, selection will be based on best performances achieved between 01-01-2018 and 24-05-2019, either indoor or outdoor;
  • The entry period closes on 24 May 2019 at 23:59h;
  • It is mandatory to provide the date and place of the performance and the direct link (deeplink) to the result page;
  • Performances with a recorded wind velocity of > + 2.0 m/sec. or without a recorded wind velocity in outdoor meetings will not be accepted;
  • Performances up to and including the 800 m should be based on electronic timing; hand timed results will not be accepted;
  • Only performances that are realised according to the international rules for the age category U18 – such as weights, hurdles distances and heights – will be taken into account;
  • Where local rules differ from the international rules the Technical Delegate will decide upon the admission of the athlete to the competition.
